Aref has performed / recorded with: Gordon Matthew Sumner (aka Sting), Nitin Sawhney, Jeff Beck, Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd), Badmarsh & Shri, John McLaughlin (of Mahavishnu Orchestra), Susheela Raman, Khaled Hadj Ibrahim (aka Khaled), Ahmed Khelifati Mohamed (aka Cheb Mami), Byron Wallen & Katia Labeque. He is one of the longest standing members of Nitin's band, featuring on all albums & tours.
